About the Foundry

The Artifact Foundry (formerly Forged Hand Studios) was created during a difficult time, following the loss of a loved one. What began as a way to stay focused and keep my hands busy gradually became something more meaningful. Designing, printing, and finishing props provided a positive outlet via a process that required patience, attention, and creativity, and helped turn a challenging period into something constructive.

The name "Foundry" reflects that journey. Not just the physical process of building and finishing each piece, but the idea of creating something strong and lasting from a difficult experience. Each prop is made with that same mindset — taking raw materials, refining them carefully, and shaping them into something with presence and character.

The Artifact Foundry specialises in helmets, badges, and prop replicas inspired by classic sci-fi, comics, and film. Every piece begins as a carefully prepared 3D print, then moves through a hands-on finishing process. Parts are cleaned, assembled, refined, and where applicable, hand-finished and weathered to create a more authentic, lived-in look. The focus is always on detail, durability, and making something you'll be proud to display or wear.

This is a small, independent workshop, and each order is handled with care. What started as a personal way to channel energy into something positive has grown into sharing that work with other collectors, cosplayers, and fans. The goal remains simple: create props with character, made with intention, and built to feel like they've stepped out of the worlds that inspired them.
